ECOTOURISM: 

OBJECTIVE OF ASSIGNMENT: You will be researching an ecotourism destination.  You will then determine whether or not ecotourism benefits biodiversity. This information will help you when you create a hotspots eco-tour trip

Assignment directions:  

Go to  http://www.nationalgeographic.com/adventure/travel/eco-travel/eco-success.html.   Choose one of the destinations: Brazil, Dubai, Belize. After you choose the destination, it will also take you to a separate website that describes the accommodations. Be sure to go there.

 Then answer the questions below to the best of your ability on a separate piece of paper.

1. Describe your ecotourist destination.
2. Describe the surrounding ecosystems.
3. Describe the accommodations.
4. Describe the trips.
5. Describe local animals and plants
6. How does the ecotourism preserve biodiversity?
7. Would you consider one of these trips? Why or why not?

Brainstorm: After learning about eco-tourism, write down three different eco-tour trips that you could do in your chosen hotspot.
