SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT-ZERO WASTE CAMPAIGN

Overview:
For this assignment, you will be creating and presenting a zero waste campaign. A campaign is a group of people who work in an organized and active way toward a particular goal, typically a political or social one (this one is zero waste).
The campaign can revolve around any type of waste reduction you feel is important or necessary in our school. (compost, recycling, e-waste) The challenge is reaching your teen and staff audience by educating them on HOW to reduce waste in our school and WHY it is important. You will need to decide how to present your campaign either through a poster (must be amazing), website or iMovie. I am open to other ideas if you have them.

What you will need for your zero waste campaign: THIS IS WHAT WILL GO ON EITHER YOUR POSTER, WEBSITE OR IMOVIE TO PRESENT:

1. Mission Statement (What You Do): A one-sentence statement describing the reason an organization or program exists and used to help guide decisions about priorities, actions, and responsibilities.
2. Slogan/Vision Statement: A one-sentence statement describing the clear and inspirational long-term desired change resulting from an organization or program’s work.

3. Action Steps/Initiatives/Programs: Here you will outline specifically how you will get people to reduce waste and why it important. You must include specific actions/or programs. For example, (Create signs with visuals on what can be disposed of for e-waste) (create posters with statistics on why e-waste is harmful to humans)

4.  Information: Here is where you will provide specific information on why reducing waste is important. You must have used at least three different websites for your research.

5. Events: Create some event that will really jazz people up to want to follow your campaign. Be creative and have fun with it.

6. Visual images: These images should go along with your mission statement, slogan and actions steps
