1. The
Aral Sea (found within former soviet union soil) supported many forms
of life holding the food chain together and supporting it with it’s rich
source of water keeping alive plants, animals, and ourselves. The Aral
Sea fed and provided many things that could have kept the lives around
it’s now desert like area more healthily stable, and less illnesses
would be less likely. The Aral Sea was the 4th largest lake until Soviet
irrigation projects diverted several of the lakes main water sources.
The lake has now lost 90% of it’s water and is now known as a ship
graveyard. (Video about Aral Sea)
