Welcome back students. I hope that you had a safe and relaxing vacation. I apologize for not being here. We are going to be looking at keystone species today-defining it, looking at examples on line and then watching a cool movie about bees. Enjoy. See you soon.
1. Take notes on the definition of keystone species.
2. Go to this link and pick two animals. Describe in writing how each animal is a keystone species based on the definition. Also note whether these keystone species are being threatened. You are welcome to go beyond this website (elephants, salmon and bees have also been considered keystone species).
3. Finally as you watch the movie the Silence of Bees, write down at least five points that relate to it being a keystone species.
4. Pass in your paper please. Have a good day.
